We’re putting a different twist on our AGM this year, with a clue in the title that has morphed from Annual General Meeting through Annual Gineral Meeting to Alternative Gin Meeting.
In addition to the formal stuff – including details of the Chamber’s exciting plans for the coming year – it will be an enjoyable opportunity to network with local business people and learn about gin.
Starting at 18:30 with a welcome drink and some finger food to set the mood for the evening, we’ll gently stir into the business section with a short review of the Chamber activities, the financial report and a preview of the BIG Awards and BID project plans.
We’ll also be electing the Committee for the year ahead.
Finally, we’ll shake on swiftly to James, our guest gin expert, who will talk us through each of the gins selected for the evening, telling us something about the distilling process and the botanicals used in each gin.
We aim to have the evening wrapped up by 20:30.
There is a small charge for the event: £7 for Chamber members and their staff; £12 for guests, including former members interested in re-joining and potential new members.
NOTE: Any member or guest who does not wish to participate in the gin tasting should book a ‘Meeting only’ ticket, for which there is no charge.
