With snow in the air this week and some icy roads and pavements underfoot, Haslemere Town Council has called for volunteers to help keep pavements safe – especially in the High Street and Wey Hill areas.

The council has spreading machinery and salt supplies, but it needs a team of volunteers on standby to grit pavements when the need arises. It may also need volunteers to sweep snow from pavements. Councillors have taken a lead in response to this week’s weather.

Volunteers prepared to take on gritting and clearance duties should contact the Deputy Town Clerk, Pippa Auger, on 01428 654305 or deputy.clerk@haslemeretc.org
