Haslemere Educational Museum has launched an exciting new video featuring Richard Sabin, Principal Curator of Mammals at the Natural History Museum and the Collections Trustee for the Museum, showcasing why the Museum is one of Haslemere’s crown jewels.
Rated as Haslemere’s top attraction by Trip Advisor, the Museum has been hit hard by COVID-19 regulations and has not qualified for any of the funding or grants made available to the arts, museum or business sectors. While COVID-related regulations have meant it has only been able to open for a few weeks during the pandemic, the Museum has been continuing its vital work with schools through physical visits when possible or, as now, via online or other outreach services through its dedicated and experienced Education Officer.
The Curator, Julia Tanner, and the Board of Trustees are working hard to design attractions, events and exhibitions for when they can reopen in addition to its current broad range of exhibits.
The Museum needs our strong support to combat the issues it has faced throughout the pandemic. Please consider becoming a member – membership opens up an array of additional benefits – and by supporting the Museum when it reopens through visits to its exhibition galleries, events and spectacular gardens which are a delight at any time of the year.
