Countywide youth awards scheme Surrey Young Superstars is delighted to announce that major retail and commercial bank NatWest is once again the key sponsor of this year’s awards, organised by Haslemere-based, independent travel agent Haslemere Travel.
The not-for-profit, annual awards reward seek to recognise outstanding young people aged 5-19 years old in Surrey. NatWest was the key sponsor of the awards for the first time in 2017.
Gemma Antrobus, event founder and organiser – and owner of Haslemere Travel – received a cheque for £1,250 for the awards sponsorship from Peter Quilter, Corporate & Commercial, NatWest, accompanied by two of the bank’s apprentices Lauren and Giovanni.
This year the Surrey Young Superstars awards are run in partnership with the Guildford Harbour Hotel and Surrey Life magazine and in support of charity Surrey Youth Focus. The special Surrey Young Superstars 2018 awards ceremony will take place in Guildford on Sunday, 6 May. Trophies will be kindly presented by HM Lord-Lieutenant of Surrey, Michael More-Molyneux.
Since their foundation in 2012, so far more than 300 young people from Surrey have been rewarded and recognised by the scheme.

The six 2018 award categories are:
Caring Superstar; Fundraising Superstar (5-12 years); Fundraising Superstar (13-19 years); Volunteering Superstar; Community Superstar and Courageous Superstar
The overall winner of the top award, Superstar of the Year, is chosen by the judges from among the individual category winners.
