A tour of the exciting new building project at Surrey Wildlife Trust’s Nower Wood was in store for Haslemere Travel’s owner Gemma Antrobus, who had donated a prize of a luxury trip to Scotland for winners of a fund-raising raffle.
Margaret Gilbert and Tony Stanford from Addlestone were announced as the winners of the raffle, which raised thousands of pounds for the Trust’s £1.1m project to rebuild its flagship education centre near Leatherhead.
The couple will be treated to a night of luxury at The Roxburghe Hotel in the Scottish Borders, including fly fishing tuition on the River Tweed. They will spend the second night at Greywalls, next to the world famous Muirfield golf course near Edinburgh – with dinner in their Chez Roux restaurant.
The luxury weekend break was donated by Haslemere Travel and JG Collection/ICMI Collection in Scotland.
Gemma Antrobus, owner of Haslemere Travel, said: “My agency was delighted to help raise funds to support the exciting building works for the Nower Wood education centre, which is really beginning to take shape.
“It was a pleasure to meet the prizewinners and the Haslemere Travel team looks forward to ensuring they have a wonderful trip to Scotland.”
Margaret Gilbert said: “We are excited and delighted to have won the raffle prize of a weekend break in Scotland and can’t wait to experience our visit.” Her partner Tony is a keen fisherman.
