Preliminary steps towards a possible Business Improvement District (BID) across the four Waverley towns gain momentum with the announcement of a ‘next steps’ meeting in June.
Waverley Borough Council has agreed to fund a feasibility study – an essential early stage of shaping the proposed borough-wide BID. The proposal has the support of Haslemere Chamber and its counterparts in Cranleigh, Farnham and Godalming.
A BID is a collective effort to enhance the local business environment through investment in one or more projects.
The June meeting, free and open to all business people, is designed to enable businesses in the area to find out more about a BID, how they work, what they can achieve and provide a platform for businesses to ask questions ahead of a feasibility study.
The meeting will be led by BID experts Sue McGeown and Mo Aswat from the Mosaic Partnership.
They will also be looking for ‘business champions’ to help move the investment project forward.
The Chamber urges members – and other local businesses – to attend the forthcoming meeting. Please register in advance HERE.
