Stepping Stones School, Hindhead was founded in 1994 by two parents who wanted to provide an education for their daughter.  Opening with just three pupils, the school has grown and developed with our students at the core of everything that we do.

We now provide education and care for 95 young people, aged 7 to 19 years old, who are affected by neurodevelopmental disorders.

Our objective is for our students to embrace a positive school environment, to become self confident, independent learners for life.  We ensure students fulfil their personal potential to gain the qualifications and skills they need to be both socially and economically independent in their local community.

I didn’t want to get up in the morning and go to school but now I love school.  Everyone accepts each other and we’re like a family, we trust, look after and understand each other.  I think that’s very special.  This is now my happy please where I can be who I am”
